This is When You Know You Have Problems

Last night I dreamt that I was sitting at a piano with Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul trying to decide what song to sing for the next episode of American Idol. Clearly this was just a dream because the contestants don't get advice from the judges on that sort of thing. But, back to my unconsious mind. The top two choices I had were Only in My Dreams by Debbie Gibson and Straight Up by everyone's favorite two sheets to the wind judge. I kept telling them that I knew I had to sing songs with short notes because I was a bad singer. There was no resolution. They went on to pick other people to sing. On that "note" looking forward to tonight's performances. NOT looking forward to Rod Steward. No - I don't think you're sexy!

Just One More Game. . .

My bf used to have addicition. It's called Battlefield 2. Up until 2 weeks ago it would play it on his giant monitor, shoting the enemy to gain medals. This would go on until all hours of the night. I'd wake from sleeping listening to him scream "there's ammo over the hill." I'd finally come out and ask him if this was his last game. He'd say, yes, just let me finish one more game. Needless to say this all used to bother me. He decided to unistall because he determined it was taking up too much of his time (I'm very proud of this decision). But, lately, thanks to two discoveries, I've found I'm not that different - I just prefer a different kind of game.

One day we were flipping through the tv and we came across games on demand. We clicked on Bijoux. Suddenly, all these pretty jewel-like images came on the screen along with pretty music. I was hooked. The object is to get three like-jewels in a row by flipping two jewels at a time. Seems pretty simple, but it's additicing. I've gotten to level four. Some day I will conquer!

Secondly, this: http://pya.cc/pyaimg/pimg.php?imgid=22468. Yes, the little boogers seem inocuous, but damn if I can't make it past level 11. My brother introduced me to this and he's made it past level 20, so now you know I have to! I would literally sit and play this game all day if I could. Yes, it's a total boredom reliever. Damnit.

Also, one small note about American Idol. The judges keep complaining that the performances are boring. Hello . . . maybe you shouldn't have picked boring contestants!

Shout out to Boonie.
